Welcome to the Gift to the God page of the official IGN Dawn of Ragnarok Walkthrough for Assassin's Creed Valhalla on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Stadia. Here, we'll break down everything you need to know for the quest Gift to the God.
Follow the Dwarves

As frustrating as it may sound, you’ll need to follow Halstein and Sigrun closely. You can’t run off or they’ll stay frozen where you left them and won’t be able to trigger the cutscene up ahead. Just follow them patiently until you advance to the room with the enemies. Take out the enemies, and you’ll receive the Hugr-Rip.
The Hugr-Rip allows you to acquire and use special powers. The first of which is the Power of Muspelheim; this allows you to walk over lava without getting hurt. Additionally, Muspel enemies won’t notice you as long as you don’t incite conflict. Certain enemies have special powers. Interacting with them allows you to equip their power to one of two slots on the Hugr-Rip. The Hugr-Rip needs to be fully charged to work. You’ll gain charge by killing enemies and by certain objects in the environment. Be mindful that once you turn on the Power of Muspel it stays on until the Hugr-Rip’s power depletes. You’ll then need to fully charge up the Hugr-Rip again to use it.
Head toward the lava near the center of the cavern and kill all the enemies. You will then encounter a barred door. Activate the Power of Muspelheim and follow the lava flow through a small gap in the wall to the left. If you need to charge the Hugr-Rip, there’s a shrine on the right side of the first area.
After heading up the steps you’ll enter a large room with a hole in the center. Head down into the hole and follow the shaft to unbar the door and let the dwarves through. Follow them until you all reach the next door. Use the shrine to recharge the Hugr-Rip and traverse through the lava on the left side; this lets you get behind the door and unbar it too.
Use the Hugr blooms - the large flowers - to recharge and continue following the path. Jump into the lava and pull the stone block back so the dwarves can hop across the gap. Continue following the path and take out the enemies at the exit.
Sinmara Boss Fight
This fight is fairly quick and all you’ll need to do is take out a third of her health. She’s quick and can conjure pools of lava. Evade her attacks and then strike as she misses you. Once she’s gone you’ll gain the weapon, The Impaler Atgeir.

The Jordber Shelter
The Dwarves will lead you toward the shelter. Keep close to them. Along the way, you’ll find markers in the landscape that will direct you toward the shelter. Use Odin’s sight to highlight and interact with markers you discover.
Once you reach the Jordber Shelter, you’ll meet Brudd, the leader of the shelter. The dwarves will give you some Silica and be on their way. Silica can be gained in raids and is used to upgrade the Hugr-Rip. Brudd will take you to the Blacksmith. After speaking with the Blacksmith, you’ll unlock the side quest Hunter and Gatherer which involves obtaining some Silica and special materials to upgrade the Hugr-Rip. Explore the shelter and you will find Reda upstairs and a stinky market vendor on the other side of the shelter. There is also a stable near the shelter's entrance.
Speak to Brudd and follow him up the mountain. Once you reach the top you’ll gain your next objective - find the other three Dwarven Shelters - and the DLC will officially begin! This completes the Gift to the God quest and begins the main quest, Seeking Shelter.
